Location
Try to place your shed in a sheltered place, out of the way of high winds. Ensure access will be possible once the the whole building has been erected and bear in mind the height of the sheds surroundings. If you are torn between a larger and smaller shed, we would always suggest the larger – you will get better value for money and it is amazing how quickly sheds can fill up!
How will the shed be used?
A shed destined simply for storage can be anything from the basic range upwards. However if you are intending to spend time in the shed yourself, consider adding in windows or an electrical outlet to make it more comfortable.
Security
Garden sheds are sadly frequently the victims of theft. Some manufacturers are therefore adding in extra protection for their sheds, such as thicker materials or a more reinforced lock.
Doors
Metal sheds come in both single and double doored options.
Roof Styles
There are many different styles of roofs available, such as Apex, Flat and Pent. Bear in mind a higher roof may be more useful depending on the tools you wish to store
Do you wish to construct the shed yourself?
Metal sheds tend to come as either partially built kits or pre-assembled and delivered from the supplier, with the latter option tending to add extra cost onto your purchase.
